Es por ello que el INBA ha anunciado a través de su cuenta en Twitter, la interrupción de sus actividades los días 24, 25 y 31 de Diciembre del 2012, así como el día 01 de Enero del 2013.
Los museos estarán abiertos en horario habitual, de 10 a 18 hrs, con excepción de los días 24, 25, 31 de dic. y 1 de enero, en que cerrarán.

Así mismo, el Museo de Arte Popular ha enviado un comunicado con la misma información acerca del cierre de sus instalaciones los mismos días mencionados anteriormente y que agregamos a continuación:
Entre los centros de trabajo del INBA que cerrarán, se encuentra el Museo del Palacio de Bellas Artes, Museo Nacional De Arquitectura, Museo Nacional De Arte, Museo de Arte Moderno, Museo Nacional de San Carlos, Museo de Arte Moderno, Museo Tamayo, Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil, Museo Nacional de la Estampa, Museo Estudio Diego Rivera, Museo Mural Diego Rivera, Sala de Arte Público Siqueiros, Ex Teresa Arte Actual, Arte Alameda, Salón de la Plástica Mexicana, Galería José Maria Velasco, Centro Cultural del Bosque y la Capilla Alfonsina.
Si de todos modos insistes en empaparte de cultura durante esos días, no te preocupes, hay unas cuantas opciones para pasarla genial. Una de ellas es visitar el Castillo de Chapultepec el martes 25 de Diciembre a las 20h y ver el show sobre las navidades mexicanas, con la participación de coros, músicos y danza. Importante recalcar que se presentarán a lo largo de la semana incluyendo el 01 de Enero del 2012 (excepto 31 de diciembre), hasta el 06 de Enero, todo a la misma hora.

El Museo del Juguete Antiguo MUJAM anuncia que sus actividades solamente las interrumpirá el 25 de Diciembre del 2012 y el 01 de Enero del 2013. Los días 24 y 31 de Diciembre del 2012 sus actividades serán normales.
